We wanted to take a minute and introduce ourselves - the people behind MyVitro - and thank you all for your support over the last month since we opened. Our goal is to bring IUI and IVF medication organizers to you, so that your fertility treatment is a little easier.
I'm Danielle, the voice behind our social channels. And the other half of our team is Patrick, who likes to call himself the money and the muscle (eyeroll).
We started this business after struggling for years to have a child. Multiple miscarriages and rounds of IVF, kept almost entirely in secret. In the middle of our second round of IVF, I got fed up with not having anything to organize my medications. It was yet another sign of the stigma that is attached to infertility and fertility treatments - you couldn't even shop for products specific to our conditions. I sketched our first design after I did my Gonal and Cetrotide shots one night. It's not what we sell today, but it got our brains moving on what was possible.
Initially we called our startup Chalette, before doing some market testing and deciding on MyVitro.
Fast forward to two years later when we took this picture. I like to think of it as the first day of the rest of my life. I had left my full time job the day before. We were all-in on MyVitro and bringing products to this wonderful community.
Patrick handles finances and operations, and I take on sales and marketing. We collaborate on product development and design, and work with several different firms and vendors to bring products to you all. We are also married, so in between processing orders and sharing social content, we bicker about the dishes, organize car pools and sometimes make out during staff meetings.
We live in Columbus, OH and have resolved our family building journey. Patrick has an 11 year old daughter from a previous marriage, and we have our 2 year old son. We also have a very active hound dog who occupies any free time we may have had otherwise.
So that's us! Thank you for being here with us.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
